Last Wednesday, I dragged poor Chloe down to London to visit the UK's only cat cafe - Lady Dinah's Cat Emporium. I'd booked us in over a month ago and I was so excited, I was really irritating on the way down there but really, what's better than spending a couple of hours with a nice drink, cake and cats? Nothing!
We got there a little bit later than planned thanks to some delayed trains, it was pretty easy to find from Liverpool St Station. We paid our £5 donation and washed our hands to protect the kitties from the dirty London germs and made our way inside.
This isn't the first time I've been to a cat cafe, I visited one in Paris which you can read about here. I definitely prefer Lady Dinah's to the Parisian one though, I love decor and it has a more relaxed atmosphere. We took a seat at the table on the ground floor and ordered a rose lemonade and slice of red velvet cake each while I tried to get a certain cat to pose for photos. Unfortunately, he didn't really want anything to do with me but it was alright because there's ten other cats there.
I spent a lot of time with a lovely ginger Tom called Indiana, he was very sleepy but so good natured and friendly. He happily posed for a lot of photos (okay, he was asleep in most of them and had no idea) and he let me give him a fuss. I also made friends with a white and calico girl called Artemis. Even Chloe loved her!
I definitely recommend a visit to Lady Dinah's Cat Emporium, it's such a lovely environment and the cats are ever so well behaved.
