Taking the perfect photographs for your blog.

The most important part of blogging, in my opinion, is having good photographs. You can describe the product as best you can and you can give your thoughts on it/discuss it with other people but what people really want to see is photographs. Good, clear photographs.

As a reader of blogs, you'll know how annoying it is when you want to find a review of a certain product but all you can find are ones with blurry, out of focus photographs where you can't really see what the post is actually about. If you're looking to buy an expensive new lipstick, it's nice if you can see clear, in focus photographs of it along with a review before you buy it. After all, most people tend to get their product recommendations from blogs nowadays, rather than magazines or television.

If you're a blogger, you'll know how frustrating it can be sometimes to get a decent photograph for a blog post. Sometimes it can take hours and hundreds of deleted photographs before you have the perfect ones for your blog post. It helps if you know how to work you camera and also how to make the most of the environment that you've got. That's why I'd really recommend looking into a degree in photography if you want to learn more about taking the perfect photograph for your blog.

For now, here are some basic tips to help you:

-Avoid having a messy/busy background. You want to make sure your photograph focuses on the product that you're talking about.
- Make sure your product is in focus so that your readers can see all of the detail and aren't distracted by other things in the background.
- Make sure the colours are a true representation of the product.
-Don't over-edit the image and try not to apply filters if you want to show how the product truly looks.
- Try to avoid using the flash all the time if you don't need to, as this can bounce off reflective surfaces and ruin your photographs.

  1. Great tips! I agree that photography is a crucial part of blogging. Natural light is really important for attractive, natural looking pictures.
