Wishlist: Festival Fashion with New Look

The festivals have started and everywhere you look people are talking about festival fashion. I'm off to Wireless Festival in a few weeks and I'm so excited! It will be my first time at a festival since V 2008 and back then I didn't really care about what I was wearing, I just stuck on some wellies and a pair of denim shorts and planted myself at the barrier to wait for Muse. This year though, I've been planning ahead!

The most important things to have at a festival are decent footwear and a good, safe bag. I've chosen these sandals as they look super comfy yet are still very on trend. The bag is stylish yet will help to keep your belongings safe. Florals are a big part of festival fashion and are everywhere from on clothing to in pretty hair accessories. Here, I've chosen these floral shorts and will pair them with a simple white cami and a black kimono to help prevent sunburn. This outfit would also be great for my trip to Paris next week as long as the weather is good in the French capital!

What are you wearing to festivals this year? If you need some inspiration, have a look at the video below from New Look

Event: Wireless Festival Launch Party, Birmingham

Last week it was announced that the famous Wireless Festival will this year be coming to Birmingham - it's about time the second city got some recognition and hosted a festival. The line up was announced at 8am on Tuesday morning and includes Bruno Mars, Kanye West and Outkast to name a few. The festival will be taking place at Perry Park and tickets are on sale now.

On Tuesday night, Live Nation put on a launch party for the festival at Birmingham's O2 Academy for lucky competition winners and press. I went along armed with my new camera and a press pass all excited to find out who the special guest performer was going to be. We were greeted with a glass of bubbly and a goody bag (some lucky people actually had tickets to the festival in theirs!) and then we were treated to a dj session by DJ Sparky from Free radio before the amazing Ella Eyre took to the stage. I must admit, I hadn't heard of her before that night but Ella Eyre was fantastic and gave such a brilliant performance. Of course, I recognised the song that she did with Rudimental but since then I've had a search on YouTube and have been listening to her other tracks.

I absolutely loved her outfit and have managed to track it down. Ella wore the Annie A Line Mini Skirt in Monochrome Symmetry and the Mindy Turtleneck Crop Top in Monochrome Symmetry from Motel Rocks.
