We were treated to a glass of bubbly and some nibbles (macarons and almonds - my favourite!) while we relaxed and watched the make up artist, Taj work her magic on two models. Taj was showing us how to create a quick and easy smokey eye using just a few products, one of them being the new Long Wear Gel Sparkle Shadow and Liner. I was amazed at just how easy she made it look and how different it was on the two models. I was desperate to try the look out for myself and luckily, we were given a goody bag at the end of the event with all of the products (and more!) to try out at home.
We also had a look around at the rest of the products and the other members of staff did mini makeovers on us. I had a blue smokey eye applied on me, which is not something that I would usually choose to wear but it really worked with my green eyes and I'll definitely have to try it out myself if I'm feeling brave.
Before the event, I'd never tried anything from Bobbi Brown. I don't really like browsing for high end makeup due to finding staff at makeup counters to be unhelpful in other stores - I tend to only buy high end products in store if I already know what I want. However, I found that this is certainly not the case at the Bobbi Brown counter in House of Fraser. All of the staff were so lovely and I will definitely be going back there to try out more Bobbi Brown products - I have my eye on the Creamy Concealer Kit.
It was a lovely event Hayley and the make up was amazing - although I'm still struggling to do a smokey eye myself...
