It's that time of year where we start to reflect on the past year and decide what we want to achieve during the next one. For me, 2013 has been mostly rubbish with the end of a three year relationship, a major car accident and then some major job stress. However, I have managed to have some fantastic times and I've met some great new people including Alice, Amy, Cara and Elizabeth. I've reconnected with someone from years ago and I've had some wonderful trips to Edinburgh, Bangor, Paris and the Isle of Wight so it hasn't all been bad.
During 2014, there's a few things I want to do:
- Pay off my credit card
- Pay off one overdraft
- Pass my driving test
- Get a full time job
I think they're all very achievable if I try my hardest and I'll actually be doing the first two at some point in January! I can't wait to finally get rid of some of my debts. Those are the important ones but I'd also like to get a bit fitter too, I've thought about either running or cycling as there's a lot of country lanes around where I live, which means I'll need to be checking out running shoes and cycle helmets. Another thing I want to do is sort out my room. I'm not in a position to be moving out anytime soon so I want to make sure it's comfortable and a relaxing space for me to be in. I want to have a good sort out and get rid of loads of things - I used to be such a hoarder! I want to move some furniture around and put up some photographs that mean a lot to me. I'd like to upcycle an old table of mine, maybe using some decorative paints or a bit of decoupage, just to personalise my room a bit more.
What resolutions have you made for 2014?

I'm planning on being a bit more laid-back, and just letting things happen. 2013 has been fairly tumultuous so taking one day after another is the best route for me. All the best with your plans! The key to passing your driving test is over exaggeration and booking at the end of the month, for rush hour!
