Seventeen isn't a brand that I usually go for when I'm looking for cosmetics. The only thing I've really bought from them over the last few years is a BB cream and a couple of nail polishes. However, I'm on some sort of mission to buy every purple lipstick that has ever been invented or something and I couldn't help but notice this one and there was a Buy One Get One Half Price offer on at the time so I had to pick it up.

 It's not a bright, in your face purple, it's very sheer but you can build the colour up which is perfect. I've just started a new job and I don't want them to think I'm a purple lipstick weirdo just yet. I'm going to ease them in. As you'd expect from the name, this lipstick has got a shine to it but it isn't sticky at all. It feels very moisturising on the lips and I've found that it lasts me a good four or five hours while I'm at work without needing a top up. When it does eventually fade away, it doesn't leave any horrible looking stains like some lipsticks do. It kind of reminds me of the Revlon Lip Butters actually, just half the price. I was also pleasantly surprised to find a little mirror in the lid which pops out when you open it up, what a genius idea!

After trying this lipstick out, I definitely want to pick up more from the range. Maybe a nice bright pink, what do you think? Have you tried the Seventeen Mirror Shine lipsticks before?
