Autumn is my favourite time of the year, now it's getting colder it's an excuse to get out your knitwear and layer up. I love it when the sun is still shining but there's a chill in the air and you can wrap up in your scarf and and wooly hat and walk through the crunchy leaves. What I don't like though, is getting up in the morning when it's still dark outside and getting dressed in the cold.
When I wake up in the morning, the first thing I do is get my fluffy dressing gown on and then go downstairs and switch on my espresso machine (I got a great deal online at Tesco) and get myself a nice cup of coffee which I drink while I'm applying my make up. I can't do anything until I've had my caffeine fix! Once the coffee has warmed me up a bit, I get my clothes on as fast as I can. At the moment, I've been wearing jeans a lot with a warm, fluffy jumper (the shops all have some great ones in at the moment) and my faux leather jacket on top. I don't ever go out without a scarf, right now I'm really loving a houndstooth one from Primark - it was only £5 and it doubles up as a blanket when I get a bit chilly!
In the evenings, I like to settle down with a good book on my kindle. I can read for hours and hours, it's the best way to spend an evening when it's cold outside. As soon as I get home, I'm out of my jeans and straight into my pyjamas or a onesie and usually grab myself another coffee. If I really feel like treating myself, I'll get out a couple of my favourite scented candles and have a nice hot bath with some of my favourite Lush products which is a great way to wind down after a day at work.
Before I go to sleep, I like to snuggle up with my tartan blanket from Tartan Blanket Co (which I have to share with my cat too!) and get a hot drink. There's nothing like hot chocolate and a good book, this Wispa Gold one tastes amazing and gets really frothy on top, yum! I'll usually read my book or watch some Youtube videos before I finally decide to close my eyes.
