Beauty: My new hair thanks to Francesco Group Lichfield

Back in February I was asked if I would like to go along to my local Francesco Group salon and get my hair coloured. I said yes, but it took me ages to actually sort out the appointment as I had never had my hair coloured in a salon before. Plus, I usually just stick a box dye on to sort my roots out so I didn't think there was much point in anyone else doing it. However, I dyed my hair blue/black back in July and I got sick of the roots coming through after a week or so, so I decided it was time to go back to my natural colour - or just a bit brighter.

I had my appointment at the Lichfield Francesco Group salon last Thursday with Chelsea who had actually cut my hair last year. In preparation, I'd used Colour B4 on the black to get rid of as much of it as I could. I was warned against using it but as I'd used it before without any problems and I didn't have time to have another appointment to have my hair stripped, I used it anyway. Luckily, my hair came out fine and was a dark ginger colour, with lighter roots and then a darker band around the top. It sounds awful but it wasn't that bad!

Chelsea started off by lifting the colour a bit more, just to get rid of the darker band. She applied the bleach bath to the darker band and then after about twenty minutes, spread it over the rest of the hair. Once the colour had been lifted from my hair and it was looking quite light, it was washed and then a copper toner was applied. The toner was left on my hair for around half an hour before that was washed off to reveal the gorgeous bright ginger colour. 
I was so pleased with my new 'do, I haven't had ginger hair for around 9 years so it's a bit of a change. The colour is only semi permanent but Chelsea told me about a product I can get to help the colour last longer and it's also only £15 to get a toner applied again. I'm so happy with my hair for the first time in a while and I think next time I'm going to go even brighter!
