Maybelline 24 Hour Color Tattoo in Pink Gold - £4.99
The Maybelline 24 Hour Color Tattoos have been likened to the MAC Paint Pots, only at a fraction of the price at £4.99. I picked this up in November time, shortly after this colour had been released. Rose gold has been really on trend over the past year or so and I hadn't bought into the trend at all so I thought I'd try the Color Tattoo in Pink Gold.
The Color Tattoos are great to use as a base for eyeshadow, or on their own. As the name suggests, they last a long time on the eyelid. Not quite 24 hours, but they do last around 10 before they start to crease or fade away. In retrospect, this wasn't the best colour for me to pick out. I'm very pale so if I'm not careful, this can make me look tired and infected with conjunctivitis. However, if I apply it sparingly and I'm careful with the rest of my make up,I find that it really brightens up my eyes. Most of the time, I tend to use this as a base for my eyeshadows and it really helps to make them last longer. I don't use a brush to apply it, I use a clean finger to apply a thin layer which I leave to dry before I apply my eyeshadow on top.
I'd love to try the other colours in this range as I really like the formula and the staying power, I just don't think that Pink Rose is the right colour choice for me and my complexion.
I adore this kind of rose gold, coppery pink colour on the eyes, as long as its paired with a cat eye flick of eyeliner to stop the swollen eye look. (: still keep meaning to pick one of these up to try! xx
ReplyDeleteI really want to try one of these! they do look like Mac paintpots and 4,9 9 £ is not much at all!
