Isle of Wight 2012

Last week me and Mark hopped on a ferry in Southampton and went across to the Isle of Wight for five days. The weather wasn't brilliant, however we still had a fantastic time. We stayed in Shanklin which is probably my most favourite place in the world. We walked along the beach, looked for crabs, looked for fossils (we think we found one!) and had lunch along the seafront. We had plenty of ice cream and cream teas (and coffees) in the lovely little tea shops and we ordered plenty of takeaways to our chalet.

I've been going to the Isle of Wight since I was a baby and I'd really recommend it! There's so much to do even though it's such a small island. I don't think I'll ever get bored of it.

Where's your favourite place to go on holiday? Have you ever been to the Isle of Wight?

  3. Aw I adore the Isle of Wight! Strangely my yearly visits there stopped when I moved to Southampton. I love how quaint the cafes and tearooms are there, and the beaches always feel lovely and calm (:

  6. That looks such a lovely little trip. I've been around the Isle of Wright while on the Ferry to France - I will have to admit that's the closest i've ever been. Love hunting in rock pools although I never find anything!
