Motel: Colour Kaleidoscope

A couple of days ago, I received an email from Motel as I'm on the mailing list, with details of their new Colour Kaleidoscope range. The range is aptly named as it is full of bright colours and features the colour blocking trend that is around at the moment. The colours on the email really caught my eye so I had to have a look for myself.

1, 2, 3, 4
I think that all of the pieces I have picked are great for the summer but would also be perfect for brightening up a dull autumn day!
1 and 3 immediately made me think of those well known paintings by artist Piet Mondrian, which is definitely a good thing in my book! At primary school, one of the walls in our assembley hall was inspired by Mondrian so his paintings always bring back good memories, as do this dress and the skirt.
Number 2 reminds me of the American Apparel Two Color Pantyhose which I've always loved but I could never justify spending £14 on a pair of tights that I'd probably end up ripping straight away! I love how the skirt of the dress is bodycon, whereas the top part is loose and flowy. It looks more like an oversized vest tucked into a bodycon skirt which is just the sort of thing I would wear on a night out.
I absolutely love the teal colour in number 4, in my opinion, it's a perfect colour for autumn! I would wear this with some plain black heels for a night out or with a pair of black tights and some black brogues for during the day. At only £32, it's really affordable for a student budget too!

Also a part of the Colour Kaleidoscope range are these four Models Own nail polishes which all match the featured clothes.

I think I jumped on the Models Own bandwagon a bit too late. I only own three of their polishes (Fuzzy Peach being one of them) but I am in love! The formula is great, they dry pretty quickly compared to other brands and they chip a lot less. I'm desperate to get Top Turquoise but I can't find it anywhere. I may have to do a cheeky Motel order next time I get paid! These four colours would look great with any of the items I picked above. I can picture some great colour blocking nail art being created from these. In fact, Lily recently posted about some leopard print nails that she did using Top Turquoise and Fuzzy Peach.
