As I already mentioned, I went along to an event over at Merry Hill a couple of weeks ago. Whilst we were there, we were told about a blogger competition to win a gorgeous Michael Kors watch. We were also kindly gifted with a £30 giftcard each to spend at any shop within the Merry Hill centre.

When I was choosing my outfit, I was inspired by what I saw at the SS14 event, there was a lot of monochrome, yellow and killer heels. I decided to go for a more casual outfit that I can wear when I'm out shopping or spending time with friends but that can also be worn at work. My first stop was H&M where I found these gorgeous black and white polkadot harem trousers which are super comfortable but also very flattering. I also picked up this bright yellow vest top which ticks off the monochrome and yellow boxes! I accessorised with a simple gold necklace which I found in Primark and while I was in there, I also found a black ostrich skin style bag which helps to keep the outfit looking smart. I finished the look off with New Look heeled sandals and my trusty Glamorous faux leather jacket to toughen the outfit up a bit and stop the trousers looking like pyjamas. I ended up spending a bit more than the £30 I was given but I think I got some great pieces which can be incorporated into many different outfits.
