NOTD: Heart Tips (Lana Del Rey style)

I'm a big fan of nail art, when I was at uni I used to spend hours painting false nails for myself but since I moved home, I haven't really found the time to do it. I also really love the shape of stiletto nails but knew that I wouldn't be able to file my nails into the same shape myself.

The other day, I decided on a whim that I wanted to treat myself and get my nails done so I popped along to my local nail salon, Saigon Nails in Lichfield.. I was inspired by Lana Del Rey's nails but I wanted them to be less pointy and look more like hearts. I had acrylic extensions applied and then they were filed into the stiletto shape before the red tips were added with a Color Club polish. The whole process took just over an hour and cost me £25.

I'm so pleased with my nails. It's been years since I had acrylics and I'd forgotten how great they are. I don't have to worry about them popping off when I do something like search through my bag or open a can of coke. I've had a lot of compliments on them although my dad's not keen and says they look like vampire nails. I'm already planning what colour I want on them next.
