October Favourites

I've never done a favourites post before as I usually just use the same things over and over. However, last month I discovered a few new products so I thought I'd share them with you. I'll  try to make this into a monthly feature but I can't promise anything.

MAC Fix+
I picked up the travel size (30ml) version of this on a whim a couple of months ago as I wasn't sure if I'd like it. I've been using it after applying my powder, just to take away any powdery cakeyness and I love it! I wouldn't say that it does anything to help my make up to stay on, but I love the dewy finish that it gives. It's definitely something I'd buy again.

The Body Shop Vanilla Perfume
My boyfriend bought me this for Valentine's Day last year and I used to wear it everyday, however it started to run out so I stopped using it. I managed to pick up another bottle recently for half price (£4.50 down from £9) so I've found myself using this everyday again. I love anything that smells like vanilla and this is a great daytime perfume as it's not too overpowering. I'm going to have to get myself a couple more bottles before they sell out!

MUA Trio Eyeshadow Palette in Innocence
I've had this for a while, but it's only recently that I've started to use it everyday. I don't know where I'd be without it now! The colours are great for an everyday subtle smokey eye look. I prefer this to my undressed palette as I often struggle to pick three colours that go well together. I really want to try the other ones in the range now.

The Body Shop Pink Grapefruit Hand Cleanse Gel
I always like to have hand gel in my handbag but I've been getting bored of the usual 'clean' smells that they usually come in. I love the scent of this one and I've had loads of compliments on it when I've used it at work. You can pick it up here.

Barry M Gelly Nail Polish in Pomegranate
I was desperate to try one of these gelly nail polishes to see what all the fuss was about and I'm so glad I did! This polish is near enough opaque in just one coat and is super glossy. I put on two coats and it lasted six days before I got any noticeable chipping! I definitely want to try the rest of the range.

Nixoderm
I'm not sure where I heard of this stuff, but it's amazing for blemishes. I'll be writing a proper review of it soon but I definitely recommend it. It only costs £1.98 from eBay and you can pick it up here.

MAC Up The Amp
Another product that I picked up on a whim. I got this just before a night out with my friend Hannah and I wasn't sure on it at first. It's a blue toned purple which I wouldn't usually go for but I find it looks great as long as the rest of the make up that I wear is quite warm toned. I usually apply this over a lip balm for a lighter wash of colour.

Rimmel Scandaleyes Nude Eyeliner
I heard a lot about these eyeliners before they were released so I couldn't wait to get my hands on the nude one. I find that it really brightens and opens up my eyes when applied to the waterline. It's fantastic when you're tired!

  7. I'm going to have to invest in that Rimmel eyeliner.. I've recently stopped wearing black on my water line during the day and I feel naked without it (but I look a lot better for it haha) so maybe this will fill the void! I also really wanna try the gelly varnishes by Barry M, just waiting on another extra points day at Boots!
