Recommendations for London?

Tomorrow, I'm off down to London. I'm going to be seeing Garbage (finally!) in the evening, staying in a hotel and then going to Lisa Sheperd on Monday morning to get my hair done. However, I have Sunday afternoon and the rest of Monday to entertain myself. I have something to celebrate (more on that later on in the week) and I also need some cheering up so I want to treat myself! I'm not sure what to do though.

If you were in London on your own for a day, what would you do to treat yourself?

  1. i love London. would totally recommend a few hours at the V and A musem in South Kensington, Its an amazing place. And after a few hours walking round there you can then hop on down to Harrods and treat yourself to some shopping and some cake!! :)

    1. I agree, South Kensington! You can get a cake and tea at the Hummingbird Bakery then go to the ballgown dress exhibition at the V&A and pop to the natural history and science museum then Harrods for window shopping and ice cream in the food court. It's all nice and close together too and is a great way to spend the day without dashing all over London.
I also like hanging out on the south bank too xx

  3. I did loads of walking around - London's a great city for just walking a seeing lots of things. I went for a SNOG [frozen youghurt] in South Kensington but there's shops throughout the city and I always tried a new cupcake shop on every visit [Lolas inside Selfridges are great] and also the Primrose Bakery in Covent Garden.

  5. If the weather is good then the Southbank is lovely! Just walk around and take in the sights and atmosphere, go to the Tate Modern for free and relax on the grass outside with a coffee. Very envious of you seeing Garbage! x

  6. The Southbank centre is amazing and has loads of free stuff going on, there was a world food market when I was there. Also the Damien Hirst exhibition at the Tate is fantastic, pricey but worth it.

  7. Covent Garden is indeed great and there are lovey places to pop in for cake; I also massively enjoy the National Portrait Gallery. A walk along the South Bank is also worth it on a sunny day, great view and some fab artists!

  8. Depends what youre looking for, High Street Ken and Kings Road are great for sophisticated shopping, and delicious food, but if you want vintage bargains and the coolest street style then Brick Lane is the place to go. maybe just buy a travel card and explore everywhere ! Southbank is nice, but not the best place to soak up London's atmosphere. Hope thats useful ! xxx
